O'Connor Newletter Week 2

Language Arts- We are continuing on with the Bridge to Teribithia story chapters 5-9.
We will be working on Character trading cards this week found at
http://www.readwritethink.org/files/resources/interactives/trading_cards/
Each group will be making a set of cards to the characters in the book.
We will also be working on reading comprehension, grammar and punctuation.
Homework will be questions posted from the book.
Math- We will be working on the Order of operations, exponents, comparing and ordering decimals, writing expressions and solving addition and subtraction equations.
Homework will be given in form of worksheets.
Science-
We will be still working on the solar system. We have a lab scheduled this week and also a project will be given to make pop rockets found here:

Social Studies-
We are working on reading maps, geographers tools, locations on maps, map keys. We may head into South American culture also this week.
Homework will be given in form of questions and worksheets.
